Sage Intacct Nonprofit Financial Board Book Powered by GuideStar

Sage Intacct with GuideStar, a Raffa Technology Services (#RaffaTech) client, unveiled the new Sage Intacct Nonprofit Financial Digital Board Book (DBB) powered by GuideStar.

The board book is built on the Sage Intacct platform and it includes the following:

  • Key metric reports and graphs – Examples of metric reports and graphs include revenue composition, liquidity and unrestricted cash are shown via a pre-built series of 3 dashboards to show the financial health of the organization over time. The information displayed are industry-standard formulas endorsed by GuideStar to ensure that you know where your organization stands in comparison to similar organizations. The metrics are based on the GuideStar Financial Scan (Situation and Comparable Analysis) product.
  • GuideStar’s Questions to Consider – Use GuideStar’s list of key financial questions specific to nonprofit organizations to review the organization’s decisions and guide larger discussions related to financial analysis.
  • GuideStar Benchmarks – Enable organizations to gain real-time insight and context into your key metrics by comparing your organization against other organizations in the same NTEE classification.

To access the Digital Board Book (DBB), you will need to subscribe to the service. There is a subscription fee. Raffa has a number of clients asking us if they should consider subscribing to the digital board book. I see the value in the information that it presents. There are a lot of useful reports and graphs in the dashboard. You will need to determine what information is important to you and to your management team. My advice is that you engage with your partner to look at the metrics available and if you think there is value there to help your organization. You could subscribe to it for a year to try it out.
